Beware the Big Lie of Sunday!

If you and me see the seventh day as the Sabbath, and so many "Christians" see it as the first, where does the contradiction come from?

There is no contradiction in the Bible, but there definitely is a clear contradiction between professing Christians who turn their back on the biblical seventh day Sabbath to keep their traditional pagan Gentile Sunday, following Roman wolves in sheep's clothing instead of following the Jewish Shepherd and Savior, Yeshua.

Any honest observer sees both the Bible and history testify to the truth of the seventh day Sabbath, as opposed to the big lie of Sunday, deceived and/or dishonest "Christians" notwithstanding.

(IsraelNN.com) A European diplomat was quoted in the Saudi newspaper Al-Watan Sunday as saying that the North American Treaty Organization (NATO) would be willing to deploy its troops in Judea and Samaria as part of a deal to create a Palestinian Authority state.

The diplomat said, in Brussels, that NATO would prefer to send troops as part of an international force, but will go it alone if need be.

The idea of deploying NATO forces in Judea and Samaria was suggested by Deputy Prime Minister Chaim Ramon last week, who called for the international organization to be in charge of security in the areas that Israel hands over to the PA.

Having been to South Africa, Swaziland and Zimbabwe (Rhodesia), the headline "Pastor shares experience from Africa" grabbed my attention. I read with great interest about Becky Pastor's experience in the former Germany colony of Namibia. She said her trip was "meant to be a learning experience, not for us to assume that we can teach or fix other people's problems, but to recognize that other people of the world have something to give to us that we can gain from their way of life."

I still wonder what she learned, having read through the article several times, and know that it is the white West who is always called upon to bail out the bankrupt black countries that demanded independence and that it's the white West who administers medicines and food to what now amount to black welfare states. Didn't she notice that while she was there? I believe we can learn from everybody, everywhere, but what did they give to her she couldn't have gotten here? What can we gain from their way of life? Is anything unique about it?

I wish Mrs. Pastor would've learned some facts about apartheid, because then she would know that South Africa's policy of apartheid actually raised the standard of living for every race, not just productive white people. She would also know that black folks from Africa did all they could to get into white-administered South Africa because it offered the Continent's greatest economic opportunities during apartheid! Instead she blathered apartheid " was to divide and suppress...The white people there were a minority and held all the wealth and power." It was the white people who created the wealth (with black help) and raised the standard of living for blacks and proved themselves worthy managers. Since the Communist-inspired defeat of apartheid, South Africa's economy has plummeted yet crime and corruption has skyrocketed!

It is obvious that without the historic white colonial rule of proper law and order, peace and prosperity, Africa reverts to its primitive state of chaos and confusion, poverty and disease, and even tribal warfare. What a crying shame we betrayed the whites who lived there to give democracy to people clearly unable to control themselves, sinking the ship with all on board (the white South African Diaspora now numbers over a million).

As for Mrs. Pastor's claim to be a pastor, some of us old-fashioned Christians continue to believe the Bible that women aren't called by God to be preachers, regardless of whatever excuses they offer. Father knows best, and God doesn't change and Jesus Christ is the same.

No women preachers, plain and simple!

As for AIDS in Africa, it should be known that over 26 diseases were reclassified and dumped into the "AIDS" category - the same diseases Africa has always suffered from - and that most people who allegedly have AIDS were never even tested for the HIV virus, but it surely helps to raise money from donor nations and well-meaning individuals if they can be claimed as "victims" of AIDS, doesn't it?

Clearly, Condi Rice is just another affirmative action hire, since she's proven how unworthy she is of the American office of the Secretary of State she occupies. Israel ought to refuse to let Condi land and redirect her to the Congo where she belongs. After all, who does she think she is to play God and promise "Palestine" to the sworn enemies of the United States and Israel? Who does she think she is when she blathers the biblical territories of Judea and Samaria are "occupied"? The "West Bank" does suffer from an Arab occupation that must end! Something's missing. Rome is synonymous with the Vatican, Mecca with the Kaaba, and Jerusalem's known for its Western Wall. But why should we stand before the wall, letting it obstruct our vision, when we could be praying in a Temple? Why should Jews continue to bow before an illegitimate Gentile decree that tells them where to pray? (Isaiah 10:1).

The Turks designated the Wall as an alternative "holy" site since Muslims had stolen the Temple Mount! If we rightly refused to accept Uganda as a Jewish "homeland," why should Jews settle for anything less than a Temple for worship?

That basically, is the gist of the message our demonstrations seek to send. The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement doesn't only protest the ongoing Muslim occupation of our Temple Mount, but proclaims that this unnatural set of circumstances will come to an end. We're confident that Muslim rule on the Temple Mount will soon be history, just as surely as the Berlin Wall fell and Eastern Europe came out from under the Russian heel!

The restoration of Jews from all over the world to their ancient homeland is only the first step towards the redemption of our land and lives. Israel, for the most part, is an empty, secular state. It's about as Jewish as America is Christian! The fact that the Temple Mount is still without a Temple stands as an indictment against Israel! God will hold Israel's political and religious leaders responsible!

Jerusalem's known as the heart of Israel, the crown of the "Jewish" State. The Temple Mount is the crown jewel. This historic Jewish treasure is a "diamond in the rough." It awaits our craftsmen's tender loving care to bring it to the brilliant perfection it deserves (Psalms 50:2).

We protest that this responsibility hasn't been fulfilled yet, but we proclaim that these things could change overnight. The world was caught off guard by the rapid succession of events that shook Europe and the former USSR. The "experts" were exposed as ignorant for not expecting it.

Nobody needs to be surprised when inevitable events rock Jerusalem, and they feel its aftershocks worldwide. They've been foretold. What's presently missing in Israel will be found when we're filled with our historic mission and accomplish our intended purpose: the restoration of the sacrifices and the construction of the Third Temple!

Shamefully, today's leaders reflect a ghetto-mentality and expose the sorry state of Israel and Jewish affairs! They're starved for this world's affection, afraid to be different, and too willing to sacrifice our unique identity! God condemns those kapos of compromise who would rather sell-out than take an unpopular stand!

Even though it's not politically correct, and goes against our democratic grain, and could result in a backlash - Hanukkah represents those who are willing, if and when necessary, to risk the wrath of others to insure the triumph of good over evil, of light over darkness, and right over wrong.

In this particular case, the light of what's good and right was the brilliant example of those faithful few Jews who held their head high (sick and tired of being beaten down) and publicly chose to reject alien ideas and destroy imposed idols.

The Maccabees weren't overly concerned with a suicidal fear of world opinion, but mightily expressed their faith in God. They didn't flirt with "foreign affairs," or engage in self-destructive interfaith orgies. They kept the faith and cleansed the Temple Mount of its spiritual filth.

World Jewry continues to celebrate Hanukkah to this day, but in the spirit of hypocrisy! We're more like the cowering Hellenists who assimilated, rather than the courageous Maccabees who fought to remain true to themselves!

Thank Heavens, there are a growing number in Israel who want to see Jerusalem restored as our spiritual center, and our lives rededicated to biblical ideals, not humanist ideas.

Pray for Jerusalem's peace and the rekindling of Israel's light!

Read and weep for the Israeli Jews of Gush Katif/Gaza, on whose behalf I wrote this article in July 2005 before their illegal expulsion by the bribed Ariel Sharon and criminal company working for foreign interests. Many of them remain homeless, depressed and basically abandoned by their lying government -- their former homes history, stripped bare and destroyed by marauding Arab enemies who are now fighting among themselves, one terrorist group (Hamas) against another terrorist group (Fatah).

The following photos and words are shared with us from Israeli Yuval Zaliouk (who is from Haifa but also has a home near Toledo, Ohio). See for yourself how the Israelis, by the grace of God, have made the desert blossom as a rose, and how Ariel Sharon and President Bush coldheartedly intend on uprooting such productive Israeli citizens and turning their labors of love, their blood, sweat and tears over to their sworn enemies! It's an outrage that must be stopped, so help us God.

Imagine -- God forbid -- Bush blathering we can no longer prevent illegal aliens from taking over the Southwest, so in order to have "peace" with Mexico, we must expel the law-abiding and productive Americans living there and surrender their homes and property and businesses to Mexicans before they start terrorizing the rest of the United States to create their new homeland called Atzlan. After all, we seized those territories with superior force and must now return them to right an alleged wrong. Don't be surprised if our government rewards illegal immigration and the madness goes that far, as part of the curse we're suffering for disobedience to our Great Creator God (Deut. 28:43, Dan. 9:11).

Now, adding insult to injury, is Condi the zombie Rice (blindly following Bush's Judenrein policies) calling for the Israeli army (whose purpose is to protect Israelis) to destroy the homes and businesses of the thriving Jewish community around Gaza and pay their sworn enemies, their "peace partners" who refuse to have any Jews in their neighborhood (Israel has lots less land, but where's the peace?), the Nazi-Muslims, to clean up the mess and gloat all the while about having driven the Jews out! Will the American government soon pay illegal immigrants to do the same in our southwest?

May God bless Bush and Rice to come to their spiritual senses, to read and heed the Bible that only recognizes the Promised Land of ISRAEL, and stop rewarding terrorism by pimping "Palestine" and calling for violence against the Jews of Gaza. - DBA

Sitting in Israel's center, such as Ramat Aviv, Tel Aviv, or in the comfort of other countries, they have the audacity, chutzpa, nay, malice, to determine the fate of the most dedicated modern-time vanguards Israel has produced in recent times.

I had the greatest privilege of visiting Gush Katif last month. I was honored to meet the diligent, tenacious, dedicated, ingenious and courageous people who live there. Every Israeli, every Jew, and all those who seek justice, Jewish or not, must be deeply proud and grateful for what these incredible people have created.

What you will see is the wonderful hospitable family of Nissim and Nurit in Ganei Tal where I stayed. Their children Stav and Nadav. Their unbelievable greenhouses in which they produce the best tomatoes ever, which they pack and ship to markets in Europe.

Pay attention to the paradise these people created in what used to be nothing but Saharan sand dunes. You will see the prosperous communities, the lawns, flowers and the trees miraculously grown by these industrious people.

You will also see the Memorial Day ceremony and exhibition in memory of those family members who were murdered by terrorist villains. Pay attention to the concrete blocks erected to protect the people from Arab snipers.

German Firms Smuggling Nuclear Technology to Iran

In August 1990, a German human rights organization known as the Society for the Protection of Threatened Peoples (SPTP) issued a scathing report accusing 85 German companies of supplying weapons of mass destruction technology to Iran, Iraq, Syria and Libya through third countries. The report also showed that these transactions were done with the knowledge of the German government. Following the Gulf War in 1991, the same SPTP provided documentation that the scud missile technology used by Iraq against Israel had been supplied by German companies.

Now, 16 years later, Germany has suddenly published an assessment that scores of German companies have indeed been helping Iran's nuclear program.

Fifty German companies are now being investigated by the German government on suspicion of selling dual-use systems and material required for Iran's nuclear project. Berlin has determined that the shipments were being used to complete Iran's nuclear energy plant at Bushehr.

"The equipment was ordered by Russia and diverted to Iran," a German official said.

On Thursday, German state prosecutor Christoph Lange identified one of the companies. Lange said the Berlin-based company Vero was suspected of shipping nuclear material to Moscow via Poland. From there, he said, the material was exported to Iran.

Vero was identified as a supplier to Bushehr since 2000. The company purchased nuclear technology from dozens of companies in Germany for Russian contractors of Bushehr.

These companies have argued that they had merely filled orders from Russian clients. However, Lange said at least a dozen of the German firms knew that Iran was the final destination.

In the December, 1981, issue of Harper's magazine, author Luigi Barzini wrote in his article, "The Americans":

"The United States is... a great nation, in many ways the greatest nation of all times... Very few imitators have understood that the secret of the United States' tremendous success... was a spiritual wind... an all-pervading religiousness, later the sense of duty, the submission to a God-given code of personal behavior..." These godly ethics, Mr. Barzini noted, are now "feebler, discredited by intellectuals, corroded by the doubts of these impious times, but without them, or what is left of them, America would not be what it is."

Significantly, President Reagan has proclaimed 1983 as the Year of the Bible. Yet how many are aware of this? Or care? All patriots should lend their support to counteract America's frightening downfall.

Clearly our government apparatus is sick and our national morale faints. May God bless America with healing and heeding the encouraging words of 2 Chronicles 7:14 that President Reagan's hand was upon during his inaugural oath.

The problem arises when legitimate Hebrews such as myself (who don't need your approval or the British-ordained Chief Rabbinate's recognition of our Israelite origins to know who we are and embrace the biblical and historical fact that we are Joseph your brother - we merely reveal it to those willing to open their eyes and see or at hear and consider) see such blatant replacement theology, such anti-Semitism against Joes (Joseph was the leading tribe of the Northern Kingdom of Israel, capital Samaria), such IDENTITY THEFT and FRAUD, when such Jews by religion pretend clearly African/Negroid CONVERTS to Judaism are, "in part," descendants of Dan (they won't even claim them from Judah) or clearly Mongoloid/Indian CONVERTS to Judaism are from Menashe (when they don't bear a single biblical birthmark of fulfilled prophecy with Joseph's blessing of power and prosperity). That's when the religion of Judaism crosses the line and must be opposed: when it attempts to steal our Israelite identity, the Hebrew roots of the West, and transfer them to Gentiles who want to move on up to Westernized Israel. Such identity theft will continue to be exposed and condemned, as it should be. Have your converts, just don't pretend they're ethnic Israelites because they're not. If they are, then you're not! It's that simple to objective folks.

First you vainly attempted to say this understanding of the Israelite origins of the West was merely a racist, anti-Semitic "Christian Identity" belief, then you begrudgingly saw that is isn't and that Christian Zionists like the Israeli hero Orde Wingate and Herbert W. Armstrong (who couldn't have been more pro-Israel or pro-Jewish) understood and taught it worldwide, and that even JEWS, ISRAELI JEWS, EVEN ISRAELI RABBIS (as represented, in part, by Brit Am Israel), share the same understanding that I do. So if you fail to grasp or recognize Joseph stands before you, if you choose to be an adversary to those who stand up for this precious truth (rather than fall for the big lie of your ethnic replacement theology), you will find you are your own worst enemy and fighting a losing battle because Joseph and Judah are foretold to become One Nation Under God, a truly United Kingdom. So be it.

The Khazars and the Modern Jews

THE KHAZARS AND THE MODERN JEWS

Let us consider an aspect of Jewish history which is sometimes controversial. This is the history of the Khazar kingdom , whose later monarchs adopted Judaism.

Some maintain that the Khazars were non-Israelites who, en masse, accepted Judaism and became the forebears of the Ashkenazi Jews of Europe. This viewpoint tends to disenfranchise Ashkenazi Jews as "legitimate" Jews from the tribe of Judah, and it is historically inaccurate. This viewpoint assumes: (A) all Khazars were gentile, (B) all Khazars accepted Judaism and (C) no members of the house of Judah were already living among the Khazars.

All three assumptions are incorrect.

It is well-documented that numerous Jews lived in the Parthian Empire and many of them accompanied the migrating Parthians toward Europe through the Caucasus Mountains and into territory north of the Black Sea. Other Jewish migrations to the region of Khazaria occurred in the centuries prior to the fall of Parthia, as we shall soon document. This region (the Transcaucasus and north of the Black Sea), through which hordes of Israelites and Jews passed on their way to Europe, was the homeland of the Khazars. How could the Khazars all be gentiles when their homeland had been the main expressway for the tribes of Israel as they left Parthia and Scythia? The Khazar region also included the former kingdom of Iberia, which had borne a Hebrew name since its founding soon after the fall of the Israelite capital of Samaria. Iberia had also been ruled by kings with the root-word "Phares" in their names, confirming their descent from King David of Israel. Surely, there were still Israelites left in this region when the Khazars came to power there in later centuries.

There is considerable evidence that the Khazars were a mixture of races and ethnic groups. The Encyclopaedia Britannica records that some "Khazars" were first noticed in Armenia in 198 A.D.1 This was 28 years before Parthia fell. When Parthia collapsed, millions of Semitic people from Parthia poured through the region later to be called "Khazaria" like a tidal wave on their way to Europe. During the centuries of the great migrations of Parthian and Scythian refugees through the Transcaucasian region, the descendants of the ten tribes of Israel were dominant in the region which later became Khazaria. The Khazar rulers did not adopt Judaism until the year 740 A.D. or even later. Let us consider how many waves of Jewish refugees entered Khazaria before that event occurred.

Large numbers of Jewish refugees had settled in what became Khazaria long before the Khazars were even a recognizable people. It is recorded in The Universal Jewish Encyclopedia that:

"Vakhushti's History of Georgia informs us that permission was granted to a Jewish legation which had appealed to the prince of Mtskhet, after the destruction of the First Temple at Jerusalem (586 B.C.E.), to settle on the outskirts of Mtskhet."2 Jews from the tribe of Judah began settling in the Transcaucasus from the time Jerusalem fell to the Babylonians! The same source records many more waves of Jewish migration to this region:

"Another influx of Jewish refugees into various Trans- Caucasian regions took place after the destruction of the Second Temple at Jerusalem (70 C.E.). The height of the influx during the first centuries of Christianity is confirmed by the chronicler Faustus of Byzantium (4th cent. C.E.), who reports that the Persians, under King Sapor II (360 C.E.), invaded Armenia, and took with them to South Persia more than 75,000 Jewish captives, the progeny of those who had previously come to the Transcaucasus from Palestine." 3 (Emphasis added.)

The Jews had seen the Caucasus region as a hospitable refuge for centuries, and they went there in large numbers. Why shouldn't they? From 700 B.C, until at least the 5th century A.D., it was inhabited by many descendants of the ten tribes of Israel (called Scythians, Iberians, Sacae, Goths, etc.), and many of the Israelite kings were Jewish, descendants of King David's dynasty. The Persian King, Sapor II, was from the Persian Sassanian kingdom that had driven the Parthians out of Asia. There had to be an immense number of Jews in the Transcaucasus region for him to take over 75,000 Jews captive in a single raid in that area! That they were descended from Jews who had originally migrated there from Palestine confirms they were racial members of the tribe of Judah! The Universal Jewish Encyclopedia continues:

"Subsequently they [Transcaucasian Jews] were joined by other Jews from more westerly regions; from Asia Minor, the Crimean Peninsula, and especially from Byzantium (to escape from the severe persecutions which they had been suffering at the hand of Emperor Justinian in the 6th cent. C.E.). It is evident...that Jewish immigration into the Caucasus took Place not only at different times but also from different directions." (Emphasis added.)4

We're not done yet. Many Jews, whose forefathers had lived peacefully under the Parthians, finally migrated out of Persia centuries after the Parthians had done so. Consider this account:

"From Arabic and other sources, primarily the Old Persian chronicle Derbend-Nameh...we may conclude that many Jews migrated from North Persia and Mesopotamia to the Northeast Caucasus during the 5th and 6th centuries (under the Sassanids). Other groups of immigrants followed...When, in the 8th century, the Arabs conquered part of Daghestan, they found a large Jewish population there." 5 (Emphasis added.)

Many people from the tribe of Judah migrated to the Caucasus from the former region of Parthia because of Sassanian persecution. By the time the final waves of "Parthian" Jews entered the Transcaucasus, the descendants of the Parthians and Scythians were already occupying new homelands in Europe. For many centuries before Khazar rulers adopted Judaism, there had been numerous migrations of the tribe of Judah (Jews) into the region later called Khazaria. There would have been some remnants of the ten tribes of Israel in that region as well. Indeed, Jewish sources claim that there were identifiable remnants from the tribes of Issachar, Manasseh, and Simeon living in Khazar regions, and that their archaic Hebrew names and the lack of any Levites among them supported the conclusion that they were not Jews, but Israelites from the ten tribes of Israel.6 Since huge numbers of people from the ten tribes of Israel had lived in or passed through this region from the 8th century B.C. until at least the 5th century A.D., some remnants of Israel's ten tribes should be expected there. However, this region had many non-Israelites as well. The Encyclopaedia Britannica states that:

"...the Khazars had reappeared in Armenia, though it was not till 625 that they appear as Khazars in the Byzantine annals...described as "Turks from the East."7

The Transcaucasus were getting crowded. Not only had numerous Jews lived in this region for centuries (coming from Palestine and Parthia), but there were Turks, other races and even residual Israelites from the ten tribes whose main body had migrated through this region on the way to Europe. Khazaria came to include not only portions of the Transcaucasus, but also part of the steppes north of the Black Sea.

There is evidence that most Khazars were of the Caucasian race. The Encyclopaedia Britannica states that the Khazars were part of the "white race of the steppe,"8 and adds that the Khazars, in response to being threatened by other Turkic tribes (such as the Petchenegs), built a stone fortress with the help of the Byzantines. The Britannica adds:

"Famous as the one stone structure in that stoneless region, [the fortress] became known far and wide amongst the hordes of the steppe as Sar-kel or the White Abode. Merchants from every nation found protection and good faith in the Khazar cities...The dynasty accepted Judaism, but there was equal tolerance for all, and each man was held amenable...to the official judges of his own faith." 9

The Khazars were known by their contemporaries as a white Caucasian race, and they built a great fortress to protect themselves from marauding Turkic tribes. Yet some of the Khazars were, themselves, called Turks. They were capitalists known for "good faith," and practiced religious tolerance. In doing so, they perpetuated Parthian traditions, for the Parthians were famous for honest dealings and religious tolerance. It is also evident that the entire nation of the Khazars did not adopt Judaism. The "dynasty" (the ruling class) adopted Judaism while the commoners still practiced their own faiths of Judaism, Christianity or Islam. The Universal Jewish Encyclopedia adds this comment on the Khazar conversion:

"...it was chiefly due to the cultural superiority of the Daghestan Jews that the 'Kahan' (king) of the mighty state of the Khazars was converted to Judaism together with his court and part of the Khazar population between the 8th and 9th centuries." 10

This account indicates that, besides the ruling class, only a "part" of the Khazar population adopted Judaism over the next century. Notice the title of the Khazar King: Kahan. The Hebrew word for "priest" is "kohen."11 The consonants of the Khazar king's title with the Hebrew word for "priest" are identical (K-H-N). This argues that the king of the Khazars, who already had a Hebrew title at the time of his conversion to Judaism, may have already been a racial member of the house of Judah. Why else would he already be known by the Hebrew word for "priest?"

The Universal Jewish Encyclopedia also states that the conversion of the Khazar "Kahan" and his court may not have occurred until between 786 and 809 A.D.12 It further records how few people actually converted to Judaism as a result of their monarch's conversion. It states regarding the Khazar King's conversion:

"...he and about 4,000 Khazars were circumcised; it was only by degrees that the Jewish teachings gained a foothold among the population...the Jews were greatly outnumbered by the pagan masses, by Moslem and Christian inhabitants of the cities." 13

The Khazars were not a majority Jewish state. They had leaders of the Jewish faith, but only a sizeable minority of Jews among their numbers. A total of only 4,000 new conversions to Judaism in a large nation was actually a small number of converts. The requirement of circumcision was likely a disincentive for most Khazar men to convert to Judaism. Most Khazars remained in pagan or Christian religions. In the later centuries of the Khazar kingdom, many adopted Islam. The Encyclopaedia Britannica records that one of the major Khazar cities, Itil, had 30 mosques around 924 A.D.14

The Khazars also included Turks (descended from Esau, also called Edom). The Edomites were fellow-Semites as their forefather, Esau, was a son of Isaac. The Israelites had been commanded by God in Deuteronomy 23:7:

"Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he is thy brother ...the children that are begotten of them shall enter into the congregation of the Lord in their third generation." (KJV)

God called the Edomites "brothers" of the Israelites because Esau, the father of the Edomites, was the brother of Jacob, the patriarch of the Israelites. The above commandment required full admittance of Edomites into the congregation of Israel "in the third generation." The Edomites (Turks) living in Khazaria who became Jews were regarded by divine law to be fully assimilated into the tribe of Judah by the time the third generation was born. This assimilation would have been accomplished prior to the fall of the Khazar Empire.

There isn't space to fully discuss the Edomites, but Esau gave birth to many tribes of his own, each headed by a "Duke" (see Genesis 36). Genesis 36:15 lists the first (and likely foremost) "duke" of Edom as "Duke Teman." The consonants of Teman are T-M-N, which were the same consonants of the Ottoman Empire, which eventually came to be called "Turkey." The second Edomite Duke was named "Omar," and another name for the famous "Dome of the Rock" in Jerusalem is "the mosque of Omar," named after a powerful Islamic Caliph.

When word spread on the trade routes that Khazaria had adopted Judaism, Jews from the diaspora would surely have migrated to Khazaria to seek refuge there. According to The Universal Jewish Encyclopedia:

"the report of the marvelous conversion [of the Khazar rulers] spread throughout the Jewish world."15

This would have steadily increased the number of people from the tribe of Judah among the Khazars as more Jews migrated there for sanctuary and freedom of religion. When Khazaria fell, its people, including the Jews, would have been pushed toward eastern Europe to seek refuge and new homelands. The Universal Jewish Encyclopedia records that the Jews of Khazaria migrated to Kiev and parts of Russia, while the remaining Khazars joined the Magyars and migrated to modern Hungary, becoming Christians.16

Khazaria's Jews eventually became known as "Ashkenazi" Jews. Some mistakenly link this name to a son of Gomer (Genesis 10:3). The name actually has Parthian origins. The Encyclopedia Britannica (1943 Ed., Vol. 17, pp. 576-577) records that the name "Ashkanians" was a Persian/Arabic name for the Parthians. The derivation of "Ashken-azi" from "Ashkan-ian" is easy to see. Therefore, the term "Ashkenazi Jews" actually proclaims and ancestry among the "Parthian Jews." This is very consistent with the historical record which confirms many Jews lived in Parthia and that they migrated out of Parthia into the Transcaucasus and the Black Sea regions.

In conclusion, the historical record indicates that the Khazarian Jews were, for the most part, refugees from the tribe of Judah who had settled in that region. There were converts to Judaism from other races as well, but God's assimilation laws defined their offspring to be "fully Jewish" within a few generations. The Ashkenazi Jews are part of the modern Tribe of Judah. God himself has made that clear in our modern time as he directed many Ashkenazi Jews to help found and settle the modern Israeli state, fulfilling the prophecy in Zephaniah 2 that "Judah" would again inhabit its old homeland in the Mideast.
